OUR STORY

Shea Strategy was formed in 2021 by first-time mom and recent University of Wisconsin Madison master's recipient, Taeli Shea Turner. Becoming a mother was a pivotal moment in her life and ultimately led to the shift in her career goals and priorities. She took action in dedicating purposeful time with her then 1.5 year old daughter during her early formative years - while also doing what she loved, and exploring entrepreneurship. She gathered the skills and lessons learned over the past decade and founded Shea Strategy LLC.

WHY FAITH-BASED?

Taeli shifted her work to supporting faith-based nonprofit organizations in early 2024. Her upbringing, personal goals, understanding of needs within the faith-based community, and discovery of marketing similarities all played a role in her decision.

She also found a strong connection to mission and purpose in this area, which allows her to reach individuals in a more profound and thoughtful way. With the help of Doyenne Group Inc.'s Triple Threat Venture Program, the Urban League of Greater Madison - Gener8tor gAlpha and gBeta programs, and countless mentors and friends, this pivot was made possible.

Faith-based nonprofits face distinct challenges in communicating their mission and impact while operating within budget constraints. These organizations often struggle to find marketing partners who understand their values, can work within grant funding structures, and provide comprehensive services at accessible rates.

Shea Strategy addresses these challenges by offering:

  • All-in-one marketing, design, and communications services tailored to nonprofit needs

  • Grant-friendly service structures and fair, transparent pricing

  • Expertise in both small organization support and large institutional partnerships

  • Local growth focus with deep community understanding

As an African American and woman-owned business, we bring unique perspectives and authentic commitment to community service. Our low overhead model and flexible engagement options make professional marketing and communications services accessible to organizations of all sizes, while our comprehensive service offering eliminates the need for multiple vendors - though we strongly value and welcome business collaborations.

We enable faith-based nonprofits to maximize their impact through:

  • Custom-crafted marketing strategies aligned with organizational missions

  • Integrated communications solutions under one roof

  • Cost-effective rates that respect nonprofit budgets

  • Support for marketing-related grant work and institutional partnerships
